It's been a long time coming, but finally, this Friday, Age of Outrage will be landing on BBC Wales and BBC iPlayer after almost a year of development and production. The first episode will launch on Friday 12th November, with five more episodes to come in the following weeks.
Developed by Small and Clever Productions, our very own Jack Browse was Assistant Producer on the production with sketches also written by Jack and fellow dinosaur David Roberts.
Following a successful pilot, the new six-part comedy series features a very talented ensemble cast, performing sketches from a range of equally gifted comedy writers. A lot of the content was shot using Virtual Production techniques, with a fair bit of layering to get actors closer to each other than was allowed at the time we filmed due to lockdown restrictions. You can check out some of the complex production techniques used in the video below:
The pilot was a huge success, which led to the BBC commissioning more episodes to create a comedy series for the age we live in today. People responded fantastically to the first episode, with one sketch, in particular, a satire about Online Shopping, racking up over 63 million views online.
We have been thrilled with the feedback so far and can't wait for you all to experience what has been produced. So please join us this Friday 12th November at 23:25 pm on BBC Wales or check out the show on BBC iPlayer.. The full programme page on the BBC website can be found here.
